RAPPEL : particulièrement active à l’ #ESSEC, HeforShe-ESSEC , association étudiante, référente à la Commission Egalité Femmes/Hommes et membre du Conseil de la Vie Etudiante est force de proposition et actrice du changement. Elle est par ailleurs membre du réseau national et international @HeforShe – branche d’ONU Femmes.
Témoignage de la présidente actuelle de HeForShe :
Je suis étudiante en première année du Programme Grande École de l’ESSEC. J’ai été élue Présidente de l’association HeforShe-ESSEC en décembre 2020 succédant à Julie et Valentine avec mon équipe.
Rappel : Le réseau d’associations étudiantes HeforShe est une iniative d’ONU Femmes qui a vocation à lutter contre le sexisme et plus largement promouvoir l’égalité entre les sexes.
- Quelles actions pour Respect d’Autrui à HeforShe ?
HeforShe veut faire de l’école un lieu où les filles et les femmes se sentent en sécurité et les garçons en harmonie.
Alors que l’école engagée sur l’égalité F/H depuis longtemps s’est emparée du sujet de la lutte contre les #VSS, HeforShe a lancé en 2019 les Party Angels : deux membres de l’association, reconnaissables à leurs t-shirts, circulent lors des soirées organisées par les associations étudiantes afin qu’aucune étudiante ne subisse de comportements déplacés ou de violences quelconques. La présence des Party Angels est dissuasive. Nos membres sont tout particulièrement formés, au-delà même des formations que l’école dispense aujourd’hui à tous les étudiants référents Respect d’autrui des associations et aux membres bureaux des BDE.
Si un incident avéré survient, nous accompagnons les victimes dans l’urgence. Nous nous assurons de rester dans ce rôle d’écoute et de soutien. Nous encourageons toujours le recours aux autorités compétentes. Nous participons ainsi à briser la tendance qui maintient les victimes dans le cercle du silence et le « ça ne sert à rien » : croyance selon laquelle il est inutile et inefficace de porter ces témoignages aux autorités.
L’ESSEC fournit une aide avec les psychologues de l’école, aptes à aider tout élève qui en émettrait le besoin, et enquête en cas d’incident remonté par nous ou les BDE avec le système de référents et l’outil de signalement.
HeforShe a notamment élaboré un Guide du Harcèlement avec les Bureaux des Élèves. Que faire quand on est victime de violences ? Quand on est témoin de violences ? À qui s’adresser ? Comment ? Les réponses à ces questions y figurent afin d’accompagner aux mieux les étudiants. Ces derniers doivent garder en tête qu’ils sont citoyens avant d’être élèves et disposent du droit à la justice. Les rôles de chacun sont donc bien définis et ne doivent pas être confondus.
Rappel : Ekiwork accompagne l’ESSEC dans la sensibilisation et le traitement des cas depuis mars 2021 ainsi qu’une avocate spécialisée.
- Quels projets ?
Nos projets ont pour but d’ améliorer encore l’accompagnement, la sensibilisation et la formation. Nous avons lancé le blog HeforShe ESSEC qui, au travers d’articles, a pour objectif de sensibiliser les étudiants, nourrir la discussion, créer le débat, et encourager l’écoute.
Tout au long de l’année et spécifiquement durant les Gender Equality Days- ESSEC qui se déroulent autour du #8mars à l’occasion de la Journée Internationale des Droits des Femmes, HeforShe organise des événements. En 2021, nous formo,s les étudiantes contre le harcèlement de rue avec Stand Up de L’Oreal.
Nous organisons également des évènements inter-associatifs : une conférence sur les Femmes dans l’Art avec le Bureau des Arts de l’ESSEC, la diffusion de podcasts avec Essec Moi l’Histoire, des portraits de femmes inspirantes avec Essec Afrique. Nous accueillerons fin mars Elisabeth Moreno, Ministre en charge de l’ #EgalitéFemmesHommes et alumna ESSEC.
Mais HeforShe est également engagée dans l’écosytème contre la précarité menstruelle : récoltes de dons de protections hygiéniques pour des associations, contribution à Cergy auprès de Du Côté des Femmes. Chaque semaine à partir de mars, des membres de l’association animeront des ateliers linguistiques ou de réinsertion professionnelle pour aider des femmes dans le besoin.
- Penses-tu que la thématique du respect d’autrui se développe bien à l’ESSEC ?
oui, la thématique du respect d’autrui est au cœur des préoccupations de l’ESSEC depuis 3 ans. Même si des progrès restent encore à faire, l’ESSEC est une école engagée qui entreprend des actions concrètes et mobilise une équipe soudée et des experts externes mais surtout travaille à maintenir une collaboration sur une vraie base d’égalité avec nous les étudiant. C’est à saluer cette vraie démarche de co-construction avec les associations étudiantes. D’ailleurs HeforShe est association référente membre de la Commission Égalité Femme/Homme et du Conseil de la Vie Etudiante.
Le challenge de l’ESSEC est aujourd’hui de former tous les étudiants dès leur entrée à l’école afin qu’ils soient des étudiants responsables et engagés puis des leaders responsables disposant de clés pour agir en connaissance de cause s’ils sont confrontés à des situations de sexisme ou de harcèlement au cours de leur carrière.
Ma conviction est qu’il faut ouvrir le dialogue, questionner, comprendre : c’est la seule façon d’imposer pas à pas le respect de chacun pour l’autre et de l’autre pour chacun.
Nous avons la chance d’être une démocratie, un pays de liberté d’expression, alors ouvrons le débat pour construire ensemble dans l’ intérêt commun, ouvrir le dialogue et non se replier sur soi-même.
Ne pas tomber dans la valorisation de ce qui peut nous offenser, nous séparer, dépasser le ressenti émotionnel qui crée le rejet de l’AUTRE (gender biais) empêchant la construction d’un avenir commun . Le respect d’autrui (Altérité) permet de construire un référentiel universel qui ne se perd pas dans des revendications personnelles et communautaires.
Non pas vivre à côté, s’ignorer ou s’opposer mais vivre près de l’Autre et avec l’Autre en respectant ses différences. Et finalement, ne pas non plus forcer la marche en risquant d’aller à rebours des acquis.
Voilà le défi majeur de notre société je crois !
